Anthropic's Dario Amodei warned that we are underestimating the impact AI will have on the economy. This is often viewed through more optimistic view of increased productivity and profitability, but the other side of the coin is a bleak outlook for the white collar job market.

 

Whether you are on the agency or client side, this dynamic is already unfolding in the advertising industry. Big teams of specialists overseen by account managers was the gold standard, but already feels antiquated and inefficient. As the productivity of each worker continues to increase there simply won't be as many jobs available.
