Google Paid Media News

Google Handed Another Loss

  • A federal judge handed Google another loss in their antitrust case finding that they “willfully acquiring and maintaining monopoly power”. Remedies could include forcing Google to sell assets (think Ad Manager) or promote competition within their ecosystem.

Marketing to AI Agents

  • Marketing to humans may become less important as AI Agents begin to take over more and more of our daily tasks. Marketing to these Agents and ensuring they are easily able to digest content will become increasingly valuable.

Apple Search Ads Rebrand

  • Apple Search Ads rebranded to Apple Ads. Sadly this didn't come with any exciting new features, but the updated branding hints that Apple could continue to make additional inventory outside of search contexts available.

Temu Paused Google Shopping
  • Temu paused Google Shopping on April 9 and their App Rank immediately plummeted, highlighting much Google Shopping was driving the business. Optimists hope for some slight relief in competition as they exit the auction.
